I sighed to myself, fighting the urge to roll my eyes.
Scented candles.
Glancing up once to make sure my mom wasn't watching, I quickly blew out the candle and fanned away the gentle, curling smoke with the back of my hand.
Wasn't it bad enough that there were air fresheners plugged into every outlet in the house? Not to mention the Windex. There was something else, wafting in from the living room... was it lemon scented wood polish? Trying to identify all of the different sources of these conflicting smells was going to give me a brain hemorrhage one of these days. &
